Welcome to Golden Legacy Wellness: Traditional Healing for Modern Life in Neenah, WI

Hello and welcome — I’m Desirae Hartrum, licensed acupuncturist and founder of Golden Legacy Wellness Clinic, offering acupuncture in Neenah, WI and the Fox Valley area.

When I opened our acupuncture and Chinese medicine clinic, I wanted this to be more than just another wellness space. I wanted to create a place where people feel heard, cared for, and empowered to take an active role in their health. A place where traditional acupuncture meets modern understanding — where the focus isn’t just on managing symptoms, but on restoring balance in the body so you can feel like yourself again.

My Journey into Acupuncture

My path to becoming an acupuncturist in Neenah, WI began with a deep curiosity about how the body heals itself. Over the years, I’ve seen how the right kind of care — personalized, consistent, and rooted in both science and tradition — can change someone’s life.

I’ve worked with patients struggling with chronic pain who thought they’d tried everything. I’ve seen stress melt away during a treatment. I’ve seen range of motion improve with a single needle. I’ve watched energy, sleep, and mood transform after years of feeling “stuck.” Those moments are why I do what I do.

But here in the Fox Valley, I’ve noticed something: many people aren’t familiar with what acupuncture is or how it works. That’s why part of my mission is education.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is one of the oldest healing systems in the world, practiced for thousands of years. It’s based on the idea that your body has an incredible ability to heal itself — and sometimes it just needs a gentle nudge to get back into balance.

Using hair-thin, single-use, sterile needles, acupuncture stimulates specific points on the body to improve circulation, release muscle tension, calm the nervous system, and support the body’s natural healing processes.

Modern research shows acupuncture can help with:

  • Pain relief (back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, headaches)
  • Stress and anxiety management
  • Better sleep and reduced insomnia
  • Digestive issues (IBS, bloating, nausea)
  • Women’s health (PMS, menopause symptoms, fertility support)
  • Sports recovery and injury prevention
  • And SO much more

At Golden Legacy Wellness, we also offer cupping therapy, gua sha, and Chinese herbal medicine to complement your acupuncture treatment plan.

Why Education Matters in Our Community

In our area, many people still think acupuncture is only for pain relief — but it’s so much more. By understanding what acupuncture can do, you can make informed choices about your health and consider natural, effective approaches before turning to more invasive or medication-heavy options.

Over time through this blog, I’ll share acupuncture tips, real patient success stories, and guidance on how to integrate traditional medicine into modern life.

Your Health is Your Legacy

At Golden Legacy Wellness, we believe your well-being affects not just you, but everyone who depends on you. When you take care of your body and mind, you show up differently — for your family, your work, and your community. That’s the ripple effect I want to help create.

So whether you’re curious, skeptical, or ready to try acupuncture for the first time, welcome. We are happy you are here. This space is for you.

If you’ve ever wondered, “Could acupuncture help me?” — the answer might surprise you. I invite you to explore, ask questions, and even stop by our Neenah acupuncture clinic to see for yourself.

Here’s to your health, your balance, and your legacy.
